The Innovation Lab is a groundbreaking new educational model gaining national attention, right here at Newton North High School!

The Lab Model:

Create a physical and conceptual space for students, educators, and the business community to explore, develop, and collaborate on new ideas.

Translate these ideas into practical projects inside and outside of the classroom.

Encourage thinking beyond traditional curricula.

Explore new models for educational partnerships with business and the community.

Prepare students for the future with the necessary adaptive and creative skills.

Biosphere: Transform the Newton North courtyard into an Environmental Science
learning lab and classroom.

Kinetic Sculptures: Model, design, and build sculptures to teach engineering and design.

Mass 9 for the 9th: Lead and coordinate a multi-school effort to achieve a 9-week, consistent rebuilding schedule in New Orleans' Lower 9th Ward.

Ocean Institute: A summer institute in cooperation with MITSeaGrant, Woods Hole, and the National Park Service that provides students with the opportunity to conduct field-based marine research.
